The Weekend: 5 Things

Caturday

So remember how two days ago I said that I would just do a montly roundup of photos? Well, I’ve got this thing about inconsistency… Actually, I found some extra time to do one of these posts this weekend so I thought I’d just do while it was still relevant and fresh as opposed to waiting till the end of the month. Let’s just say this will vary on a case-by-case basis and call it good.

This past weekend was Caturday at Dolores Park and a few of my co-workers were going so I thought I would just tag along! I wish I loved cats…but let’s just be real here – I’m much more partial to babies and kids than household pets. I figured that if I was going to attend this thing though, I was going to get really into it and the only way to do that was to have someone let me “Simba” their cat. Mission accomplished. Have you ever seen me look this happy?!

Tecate

Let’s go back to Friday though where my co-workers and I dined on 10 tacos from Tacolicious and Jackson and I were v. amused by his tallboy Tacate and my regular sized one.

Foreign Cinema

Matt and I brunched at Foreign Cinema before Caturday and here’s what our spread looked like. I was dying to try this place out until I learned that they don’t show films all of the time… and they only do it outdoors. The inside of the restaurant is very nice though. Matt demolished a burger and the french toast while I had a Croque Madame for the second weekend in a row. Cafe Presse – don’t you worry, you still have my heart.

FC

When you leave Foreign Cinema, they like to send you off with something really terrifying like this postcard apparently.

I finally got around to watching this documentary today which turned out to be one of the saddest and most messed up thing I’ve seen in awhile.

Stanford Dish

And to check another thing off of my list today, Leah joined me on a hike to the Stanford dish! It’s really nice to have a getaway that’s only 20 minutes away.

85C

We then treated ourselves to In N’ Out and this slice of Coffee Creme Brulee cake from 85 Degrees C. So it was pretty much just a really great weekend!
